Best Rides in EPCOT for 2024

Frozen Ever After

  • Height Requirement: All Ages, heights
  • Type of Ride: Slow, Dark
  • Accessibility: Must transfer from Wheelchair/ECV

Ok, so I wasn’t expecting to like this ride so much. Frozen is a good movie but was never a favorite. So I was surprised with at how sweet and fun this ride is. It was just really well done and singing along while riding a boat was great. But what I really love is the queue. It is incredibly immersive and detailed. I love it.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

  • Height Requirement: 42″
  • Type of Ride: Dark Thrill Ride
  • Accessibility: Must transfer from Wheelchair/ECV, Audio Description, Handheld Captioning, Assistive Listening, Service animals not allowed, Guests of certain body shapes/size might not be able to ride due to seating, restraints

YESSSS Guardians of the Galaxy. What’s not to love about this ride? The queue is engaging and immersive. The storyline is unique with EPCOT having it’s first “other world” land pavilion. That includes a trip to Xandar. Then, of course, things go awry. This is one of the smoothest roller coasters I have ever been on. The technology completely blew me away. And oh my goodness the music!! Just classic. If you skip this ride, you are making a mistake.

Living with the Land

  • Height Requirement: All Ages, heights
  • Type of Ride: Slow, Boat Ride
  • Accessibility: ECV Transfer to Wheelchair, Audio Description, Handheld Captioning

Slow moving boat ride that teaches about Disney’s innovative food growing techniques…um, yeah I am in. You get to float through different vegetables and fruit that Disney grows and then use in the Land Pavilion. This ride is informative, relaxing, and great for an AC break with lines that rarely get long. It is an absolute favorite of mine.

Disney Pro Tip: Make sure to ride Living with the Land during the holiday season. There is a great holiday overlay.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

  • Height Requirement: All Ages, heights
  • Type of Ride: Slow
  • Accessibility: ECV must transfer to Wheelchair, Audio Description, Handheld Captioning, Assistive Listening

My favorite movie and one of my favorite rides in all of Disney. Shrink down to Remy’s size and explore the kitchen on a trackless ride. Charming storyline, Paris, food, dreamy Parisian music-all things that make for a beautiful ride. It both fills me with nostalgia and wanderlust. A must ride.

Disney Pro Tip: This is a great ride to book a lighting lane pass for UNLESS you are staying at an EPCOT resort then rope drop Remy’s. It is right next to the International Gateway entrance. Most importantly, grab a tasty treat from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie afterwards.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends

  • Height Requirement: All Ages, heights
  • Type of Ride: Slow Ride
  • Accessibility: ECV must transfer to Wheelchair, Audio Description, Handheld Captioning

This ride is just so cute. I love the slow ride with our Nemo friends then being brought to a huge aquarium. It just charms me even if the song is a bit annoying. Also, I love love the queue. It’s like walking along the beach into the ocean. The details and immersion are just fantastic.

Disney Pro Tip: Do not wait in a long line for this. Keep checking the Disney app and wait until the standby line drops.

Soarin’ Around the World

  • Height Requirement: 40″
  • Type of Ride: Slow, Dark
  • Accessibility: Must transfer from Wheelchair/ECV, Video Captioning, Service animals not allowed
  • Warning: If you have a fear of heights or prone to motion sickness this isn’t the ride for you.

Enjoy flying around the world in a gentle simulator where they have different smells coming at you. This is just a great ride and will fuel your wanderlust. Don’t skip this.

Spaceship Earth

  • Height Requirement: All Ages, heights
  • Type of Ride: Slow, Dark
  • Accessibility: ECV Must transfer to Wheelchair, then to ride vehicle, Audio Description, Handheld Captioning, Service animals allowed with caution
  • Warning: If you are uncomfortable with enclosed dark spaces then this ride might not be for you.
Best rides in Epcot in 2023: Spaceship Earth

This has been my favorite Disney ride since I was a kid. Between the music, informative storyline on humankinds’ technological advances, animatronics and interactive screen at the end- I didn’t stand a chance. It is a Disney classic and should be ridden.

If you can read this post, then thank the Phoenicians. (If you know, you know.)

Disney Pro Tip: If you can avoid it, don’t wait in a ridiculous line for this ride. It is all outside with little respite from the heat. Keep checking the Disney app for wait time updates then go when it is low.

Test Track

  • Height Requirement: 40″
  • Type of Ride: Thrill Ride
  • Accessibility: Must transfer from wheelchair/ECV, Video captioning, Service animals not allowed
  • Warnings: Warning for those with high blood pressure, motion sickness, heart, back or neck problems, etc. Expectant mothers should not go on.

I, thoroughly enjoy this ride. You get to design your own car and see how it performs in a variety of tests. I love the interactive element to it. I also love the thrilling conclusion to the ride. You will definitely enjoy this.

Disney Pro Tip: If the lines are long and your party is up for it, use the single rider line. This ride is perfect for it since each row is an odd number of people.

I’ll ride but won’t wait.

Gran Fiesta Tour

  • Height Requirement: All Ages, heights
  • Type of Ride: Slow, Dark
  • Accessibility: Transfer to Wheelchair, Audio Description, Handheld Captioning

I actually really enjoy this slow moving boat ride mostly because I love the Mexico Pavilion. I just don’t want to wait for it. It’s not that good of a ride to wait in a long line for or really make a huge effort to get on like constantly checking the app for wait times. Also the Mexico Pavilion can get very busy which overwhelms me a bit.

Rarely Go On

Journey into Imagination with Figment

  • Height Requirement: All Ages, heights
  • Type of Ride: Slow, Dark
  • Accessibility: May remain in Wheelchair/ECV, Audio Description, Handheld Captioning

Ok, so I think Figment is super cute and like that he is the unofficial mascot of EPCOT. And this ride is a very nostalgic Disney ride. I just don’t like it. It is cheesy and definitely aimed at a younger audience.

Mission: Space

  • Height Requirement: Green Mission: 40″ Orange Mission: 44″
  • Type of Ride: Dark, Thrill
  • Accessibility: Must transfer from Wheelchair/ECV, Video Captioning, Service animals are not allowed, Certain body shapes and sizes might not be able to ride due to seating and restraints
  • Warnings: Do not ride if you are uncomfortable with simulators and small dark spaces
    • Orange Mission: Warning for those with high blood pressure, motion sickness, heart, back or neck problems, etc. Expectant mothers should not go on.

So I don’t mind this ride. I think the queue is fantastic and completely engaging. The ride itself is such a cool concept with becoming an astronaut. The first time I read the intense version (orange) it really blew me away. But now it is almost too much for me. I dread going on it a bit. I know, I know. I could go on the green version which is less intense but I found that boring. With that said, if you enjoy intense rides then you should definitely try the orange mission at least once.
