Where to stay in Menorca in April?
The beauty of Menorca in April is the affordability of incredible hotels, like the breathtaking Agroturismo Llucasaldent Gran Menorca. This is easily one of my top five favorite hotels ever. Perched on a hilltop with stunning palm trees and views of Menorca and the sea, it’s pure perfection.
The pools offer gorgeous views, and there’s even an honor-system bar—how cool is that? The food was amazing at both breakfast and dinner, and the rooms were spacious, stylish, and comfortable. (Great cheese selection!) The service was top-notch, too—they even packed us a breakfast for our early morning flight. Oh and the location is perfect for exploring the island. You will need a rental car though!
I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s an absolute gem, and if you’re staying in Menorca, don’t bother looking any further.

Pros of visiting Menorca in April
- No crowds. It was amazing—it felt like we had the whole island to ourselves. The beaches, trails, and restaurants were practically empty. I could truly relax without fighting for trail space or scrambling to secure reservations. Everything was just so easy and peaceful. We could easily find last minute experiences like a cheese farm tour.
- Please note that we avoided the Easter holidays.
- Being the only American tourist. It felt very much like being with the locals. It was such a lovely experience being in a beachy tourist spot but not hearing people who sound like me.
- The weather. The weather in April was absolutely perfect—warm during the day but not too hot, and cool in the evenings, which made for amazing sleep. Seriously, it was chef’s kiss perfect.
- The hiking. Since the weather was ideal, hiking was so much more enjoyable than it would’ve been in the summer heat. It made exploring the stunning Cami de Cavalls—a trail that winds around the entire coastline—even better. Every step felt like a treat instead of a struggle.
- Easy Parking. It was so easy to find parking at the beaches and in the towns/cities. It was a breeze.
- Low prices. Everything—from the flights to the rental car to the hotel—was incredibly affordable. Visiting in the off-season made this trip not only relaxing but also super budget-friendly. It felt like the perfect combination of approachable and amazing.
- This is more just a general pro, not seasonal specific-the Mahon cheese and local wines are amazing.
- Menorca is arguably one of the most beautiful places I have visited.
Cons of visiting Menorca in April
- Not beach weather. If you’re looking for a beach holiday, April might not be the best time. While it was warm, it wasn’t quite beach warm. The sea and hotel pool were too cold for swimming (at least for me). You might get lucky with a warmer day or two, but I wouldn’t count on it.
- Closures. Not every restaurant or activity was open. So there will be some seasonal closures in April.
- Flights. There weren’t as many flights to the island in April, with frequency definitely increasing in summer.
So, is it worth visiting Menorca in April?
Yes! It is 100% worth visiting Menorca in April. I fell in love with this island. It was so peaceful and relaxing not having to deal with the masses. I would happily go there again.
