My Perfect Day at Cemetery Beach
What a secluded, stunning, quiet beach. There were plenty of trees to sit under for shade since there were no facilities. We shared the beach with maybe 12 other people. No one from the cruises. The beach has no entrance fees, no lounge chair fees, etc. We only paid for the public buses. We enjoyed reading with a few snacks, sunbathing, and swimming. Since we ate a late breakfast and brought snacks, we didn’t need to leave the beach to find food. It was perfect. I can’t think of a better way to spend a day. You cannot go wrong with this beach.

General Information on Cemetery Beach
- Cemetery Beach is on the northern end of Seven Mile Beach.
- It is secluded with no facilities. This means no beach chairs, bathrooms and restaurants. So might not be the best fit for families or those looking for a beach club.
- It is located about15 minutes from the cruise ports (without traffic).
- Known for great snorkeling and great sunsets.
- It is literally behind a cemetery. You follow a path from the street pass the cemetery to get to the beach.

Getting to/from Cemetery Beach
We decided to use the public bus system and it couldn’t be easier. It only cost $2.50 each one way(make sure you have cash) and was so easy to get on and off. Use the steps below on how to get to Cemetery Beach.
- Head to the public bus depot. To get there from the cruise port, take a right onto Harbour Drive then a left onto Fort Street. Follow Fort Street until you see the Public Bus Depot in front of you to the right. (The public buses are vans.) It is less than a five minute walk.
- The bus drivers are super friendly and will help you figure out what bus to take.
- It is the yellow line or 1 WB. Just tell the bus driver you are heading to Cemetery Beach and they will drop you off.
- The cemetery will be on the left with the public beach access path right next to it. (There is a brown sign above the path.)
- When you ready to leave, walk back down the beach access path. Then cross the street to the bus stop.
- Make sure to wave down the bus. The bus journey will end at the bus depot.
Overall Cost
We only spent $10.00 for two people with two trips on the public buses. We saved money by not going on an excursion, to a beach club, or buying food. We spent so little to have such an amazing time on a quiet out of the way beach.
Cemetery Beach Tips
- Make sure to have cash for the public buses.
- Bring towels, snacks and bottles of water from the cruise ship to help save money.
- Give yourself plenty of time to get back to the cruise port. We hit plenty of traffic heading back in.
- If you enjoy snorkeling, make sure to bring gear with you.
- The port has its own bus system that costs $8.00 a person. They said they could drop you off at Cemetery beach. I found the public buses to be an easier, less busy option.
