Nachi Cocom was just…fine. On my recent sailing with the Celebrity Beyond, we stopped at Cozumel. I was curious about Nachi Cocom Beach Club due to its glowing reviews and reputation for being chill. After spending several hours there, I can conclude that it was fine. I did enjoy my relaxing day there BUT I would not go back again. In my opinion, it wasn’t worth the $110.00(+) I spent. Getting to Nachi Cocom
The beach club does not include transportation to and from the port. However, getting there by taxi is incredibly easy. Just head to the taxi stand just outside the port (follow the taxi signs). There is a large poster that shows the set taxi prices to different resorts, beaches, etc. It cost $18.00 to get to Nachi Cocom. (They accepted US Dollars.) The travel time was about 20 minutes. Super easy but a bit expensive coming in at $36.00 round trip without tip.
What is included?
Pretty much everything. A four-course lunch is included with all you can drink (alcohol and non-alcoholic.) You have access to the entire property. The only things not included are massages, towels, the welcome picture, and water sports.

Arrival
A photographer was waiting for us when we arrived and took a quick pic of us. (Could buy this later.) Then she walks you over to pay the rest of the balance for the beach club. Your beach attendant is waiting for you and walks you over to your sunbeds. This was all quick and easy.
Beach and Property
This was the best part of Nachi Cocom. The beach is gorgeous and feels remote with all of the palm trees and vegetation. The property is well-maintained, tropical, and has a relaxing vibe. The pool looked refreshing and very clean. Overall, a very attractive property. The only negative was the bathrooms. They were disgusting.

Service
The service was excellent. Our beach attendant and his assistant were always nearby; ready and willing to help. Everyone was friendly and quick with our food/drinks. After the beach, the service was the next best thing.

Food and Drink
This is where things came apart for me. Now don’t misunderstand, the food was fine. The ceviche was good as well as the soup. Having said that, the food didn’t live up to the price we were paying. It was good food but I would never pay that much for what I ate. The cocktails were watered down; so just stuck with beer. I’m not sure what I was thinking booking this; when we were coming off a cruise where we could eat and drink to our heart’s content. Could have easily found somewhere delicious to eat in Cozumel for much cheaper.
Vibes
I have mixed feelings about the vibes of this beach club. The way they have it set up, the vibes are relaxing and quiet. It is not meant to be a party atmosphere. But as more people arrived, it got louder and louder. Then people started playing their music which is a personal pet peeve of mine. And in particular, a group of four women who were screaming and hollering so loudly that we moved our seats. Not the fault of the property but it took away from the relaxing vibes they had worked hard to create.
How much did it cost?
This was not a cheap excursion for two people. The price of the beach club and the two taxi rides came to a total of $146.00 (doesn’t include the tip we left for both our attendant and the taxi drivers). This is just to sit on a beach and eat okay food and drink. It felt like an overpriced extension of the cruise.
Pros/Cons
- Pros:
- Beautiful beach and property
- Service was excellent and friendly
- Easy to get too
- Cons:
- Very overpriced for what you are getting.
- Expensive when you include the price of a taxi.
- Food was just fine
- Drinks were watered down.
- If you want a relaxing break, could be impacted by the people there.
Final Thoughts
While the beach was beautiful, I can’t get past the price. It was incredibly expensive for average food and watered-down drinks. It just felt like I moved the cruise vibe to a beach. I would have much preferred finding a quiet public beach than going to a great local restaurant. However, if you have a large group or kids this could be a great option since it is so easy to do. If you are looking for a beach club then this would be a good fit as it is beautiful and the service is fantastic.
