5 Best Breweries in the White Mountains of New Hampshire

Tuckerman’s Brewing Company

This is hands down my favorite brewery to visit while enjoying the White Mountains. (And yes, it is because Tuckerman’s Pale Ale is my favorite beer.) The brewery is massive with a large indoor seating area and an even bigger outdoor grassy area. Behind the bar are large glass panels that allow you to see the entire brewery operation. The atmosphere is exactly what you want after a day in the mountains. It is located in Conway, NH which is a short ride away from busy North Conway. This makes it a little bit off the beaten path and slightly less busy. The beers are excellent with a great variety from IPAs to Kolsch to the excellent Tuckerman’s Pale Ale. They also serve pizza made with their own Pale Ale Dough. It is excellent! I cannot recommend this brewery enough. Just go.

A brewery visit is a must while checking out the best Fall Foliage spots in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Schilling Beer Co.

This is a gorgeous brewery. The buildings are deep reds and blacks that are both modern but have that cozy Mountain vibe. It sits along the Ammonoosuc River in Littleton, NH which is just stunning. Schilling Beer Co. is a beautiful brewery. Not to mention their European-style beer is refreshing and delicious. It is a welcomed break from the breweries that are heavy with IPAs. And, they have great, and I mean great, pizza! It is the perfect stop after all of your nature adventures. It can get busy while visiting during peak foliage so plan on waiting or putting your name in then explore the super cute town of Littleton. Like Tuckerman, this is a must-visit while exploring the White Mountains.

Moat Mountain Smokehouse and Pub

Moat Mountain has been around for over 20 years and I have been enjoying their food long before I could drink alcohol. They are located just a bit further down the main street of North Conway. They have a great smokehouse and even better Cajun fries. (I am obsessed.) Unlike Schilling and Tuckerman, Moat has a large and full menu which makes it a great option when traveling with kids. Plus, their beer is fantastic. I love Scottie’s IPA. This is a very popular restaurant and they don’t accept reservations. So during the busy season like the Fall or summer, make sure to go early or you will be waiting for a while.

Woodstock Inn Brewery

Woodstock Inn and Brewery has my heart. My childhood was spent visiting Lincoln/North Woodstock NH and Woodstock Inn was always a stop for my family. I loved this restaurant before it was popular. As an adult, I can appreciate the great beers they serve like Pig’s Ear. The atmosphere inside is a cozy log cabin with wood everywhere. They also have a beautiful outdoor patio. If you have to wait for a table, visit Cascade Falls just across the street from the brewery.

The plaza One Love Brewery is located.

One Love Brewery

One Love Brewery is a relative newcomer to the brewery scene in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It is located in Lincoln, NH in the Lincoln Village Shops. It is massive with a great outdoor space that is dog friendly. The beer is very good but the food is even better. It is innovative and funky. It includes items like lamb lollipops! This is a great stop after exploring Franconia Notch or skiing on Loon Mountain. Highly recommend!
